Known as the "Riviera of Azaleas", in spring the gardens along this strech of the western shore are transformed into an explosion of colour. Visitors come from all over the world to admire the blossom and if you too love flowers and gardens, don't miss a trip to Cadenabbia and remember to visit the well-known Villa carlotta and its park, Villa Collina and Villa Maria, the Parco dei Faggi (Beech Park) and the Parco degli Alpini, or take a walk through the nature reserve at S. Martino and visit the small church which stands in a wonderful meadow under the steep Sasso S. Martino.
